Water Baptism

We believe that water baptism is a symbol of our cleansing from sin by Jesus Christ and our new birth by Him by the power of the Holy Spirit. It serves as a testimony that we have received Jesus Christ as our Savior. It is only a symbol and has no power to save us. A person must have received Jesus Christ as Savior before being baptized. We practice baptism by immersion. The following recommendation regarding water baptism formula is adopted: "On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God, and by His authority, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."(Galatians 3:27; Acts 2:41; Matthew 28: 18-20)

Lord's Supper (Communion)

We believe the Lord's Supper, or Communion, was given as a memorial of the suffering, shed blood and death of Jesus Christ, and to regularly remind us of His sacrifice for our sins. We believe that the elements in no way become or contain the body and blood of Jesus Christ, but serve as symbols. The bread serves to remind us of His body, which was given for us. The grape juice serves to remind us of His blood, which was shed for us. The Lord's Supper, or Communion, shall be observed on the first Sunday of each month. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
